Frequently Asked Questions

What is AISCT?

It is your digital assistant in a box. Powered by databases of correlated laboratory data, it provides the highest confidence in correct determination of sample outcome available. In more words, AISCT is an artificial intelligence powered technology whose purpose is to accurately test for contamination ins soil and water.

Are you licensed and accredited to perform environmental assessments and remediation?

Yes, TRIUM Environmental Inc. is fully licensed and accredited in accordance with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards. Our team consists of qualified professionals with the expertise and certifications required to deliver high-quality environmental services.

Is AISCT the same as a laboratory instrument?

No, AISCT does not replace laboratories, it enhances laboratory processes.  It provides the best estimate of what the laboratory analysis will likely be to make the most informed decision on-site. It substantially reduces the number of samples, wasted samples, and dependency on rush analytical results from laboratories.

What is the importance of environmental remediation, and how does your company address it?

Environmental remediation is crucial for restoring contaminated sites, protecting public health, and preserving natural ecosystems. TRIUM Environmental specializes in identifying, assessing, and remediating environmental contamination, ensuring safe and sustainable outcomes. We employ state-of-the-art technologies and proven methodologies to remediate soil and groundwater, manage hazardous materials, and mitigate environmental risks. Our technology is uniquely developed by us and Trademarked, such as CHEMOX. Check our Innovation page to see more about our trademarked services and technologies.

How do I subscribe to the AISCT service?

As a service model, TRIUM or a licensee will quickly evaluate the available information during a brief video call.  Within hours, a cost estimate will be provided and scheduling can commence.

As a drop off model, please contact TRIUM or a licensee to make arrangements to drop samples off for rapid screening at any of those facilities.  Costs are provided on a per sample basis.

What regions does TRIUM Environmental Inc. operate in?

We provide environmental services across the globe and are equipped to take on projects in diverse locations. Our extensive network allows us to assist clients with environmental solutions worldwide. We have offices in different provinces in Canada, South Korea and China. Addresses for all our offices are provided in our Contact section.

What is the typical timeline for an environmental remediation project?

Project timelines can vary widely based on the scope and complexity of each remediation project. Factors like site size, contamination levels, regulatory requirements, and site-specific challenges influence project durations. Our team works diligently to develop realistic project timelines and keeps clients informed of progress throughout.

What does AISCT test for or measure?

Currently available units measure petroleum hydrocarbons and chloride.  Petroleum hydrocarbons are measured in rangesC6 to C32, and reports in mg/kg as per jurisdictional requirements (ie.F1/F2/F3, VPH/ LEPH/ HEPH).

Chloride is measured as either mg/kg or mg/L (soil or water results).

How does TRIUM Environmental ensure compliance with environmental regulations?

Compliance with environmental regulations is a top priority for us. We stay up-to-date with evolving regulations, work closely with regulatory agencies, and implement industry best practices to ensure our projects meet or exceed all applicable environmental standards.

How does AISCT work?

AISCT is a sensor system coupled with a learning database.  It is reliant on data accumulated from analytical measurements to compare against the field scanning method(s).  Every time a data point is added, the system gets smarter.

How good is AISCT's performance?

In hydrocarbons with a range of  contaminants from C6 to C32, it averages 95% correct predictions, reducing  false positive and false negative determinations prone to other field  portable instruments.

In chloride, it averages 92%+  correct predictions.

Send a message to TRIUM Environmental Inc. immediately and one of our experts will take it from there.

What industries does TRIUM Environmental Inc. serve?

TRIUM Environmental serves a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate development, energy, transportation, and more. Our customized solutions address the specific environmental challenges faced by businesses and organizations in these sectors.

Why is it not exactly the same as the laboratory value?

The learning database is alwaysimproving.  However, AISCT may not havebeen “taught” on all contaminants and ranges of concentrations, resulting insome differences in the estimated concentration.  This typically does not effect the unitscapacity to predict the outcome though. We will help determine if this might bean issue during project evaluation.

It will always be improving though and everytime it is used, it improves for the next time

Can you provide examples of successful environmental remediation projects you've completed?

Certainly! We have a portfolio of successful environmental remediation projects that demonstrate our expertise. Please visit our "Projects" and "Case Studies" pages to explore and learn more about how we've helped clients address environmental challenges.

Do I still need laboratory data?

Yes, for regulatory reporting and closure, the prescribed amount of laboratory analytical is still required.  This is also needed to improve the performance of the database and continued advancement of the AISCT prediction capacity. AISCT is critical to efficient site activities as it reduces the time and dependency on this data however, providing answers in 20 minutes not 2 days or more.

When is the data/ results available?

Data is available on-site every 20 minutes, with up to approximately 15 samples per hour. Final reports are provided as requested and typically, daily.
